Static IP for Mobile Applications
Static IP for Mobile Applications
Identify and secure your devices — from virtually anywhere on the Sprint Mobile Broadband network.

Business applications used by devices like meter readers, video cameras, electronic billboards, tracking devices and routers may often require a static, or persistent, IP address. Static IP addresses are utilized by these and other devices to contact a specific destination.
By adding a static IP to a phone, a data device, or an embedded mobile broadband device, the customer has the ability to build and manage their network from a centralized location.
Sprint offers two options for static IP service:
Standard Static IP
Purchase one or more static IP addresses as you need them. These addresses are assigned as available and are not guaranteed to be provided in a contiguous or sequential range with other devices or other addresses assigned to the account.
Reserved Static IP
Reserve a contiguous block of static IP addresses, in advance, and then designate each address to a specific device. Each time the device authenticates onto the Sprint network, it will be assigned its reserved Static IP address¹.
Whichever option you choose, a convenient, secure Web interface makes it easy to assign a Static IP addresses. If you need assistance, or do not have access to a computer, we can administer the account on your behalf and with appropriate credentials.
